TO-220

For custom TO-220 tubing, the following four information is required: 1. Tube material selection; 2. Dimensional drawing or actual part; 3. Tube length; 4. End cap selection.

I. Material Selection: TO-220 tubing is generally made of PVC or PS materials. PVC tubing is easy to mold, easy to process, and inexpensive, making it the most common choice for IC packaging tubing. The disadvantage of PVC tubing is that it does not meet halogen-free requirements. If the customer requires halogen-free tubing, then PS IC packaging tubing is selected, as it meets halogen-free requirements and Sony SS-00259 standards. The disadvantage of PS IC packaging tubing is that it is significantly more expensive than PVC.

II. Part Dimensions: For custom tubing, a part drawing is required. If a drawing cannot be provided, 3-5 actual part samples are acceptable. Our company will design packaging tubing suitable for automated production lines and long-distance transportation based on the part drawing or sample. III. Pipe Length. There are two ways to choose the pipe length: either the customer tells us the desired length directly, or the customer requests that we determine the length based on the number of parts to be packaged in one pipe.

IV. End Cap Selection. Pipe end caps can be either rubber stoppers or rubber studs. If rubber studs are chosen, holes need to be drilled, and a suitable stud is used to seal the pipe opening. If rubber stoppers are chosen, no drilling is required; simply select a suitable stopper based on the size of the pipe opening to seal it.
